JOHN, B.C. – The North Peace Secondary School’s Basketball teams were busy over the weekend.The Junior and Senior Boy’s and Girl’s from FSJ were in action versus teams from the Dawson Creek Secondary School. Each team played two games over the weekend in preparation for the upcoming North Zones. The NPSS teams finished the head-to-head play with a 4-1 record.Meanwhile, the Girls Curling team prepares for the BC Curling Provincials in Langley at the end of February.- Advertisement –last_img

first_img Mike Williamson 1 Newcastle United have recalled Mike Williamson from his loan spell at Wolves.The defender moved to the Championship club in October and was due to remain with the Midlands side until January.However, the 32-year-old has now been recalled by Newcastle after Jamaal Lascelles suffered a minor hamstring strain during Saturday’s 5-1 loss to Crystal Palace.That injury left Magpies boss Steve McClaren short on centre-backs and it is hoped that Williamson’s return will fill the void.The Englishman could go straight into the side for this weekend’s clash with Liverpool at Anfield.last_img
