first_imgWizz Air will be expanding its operations out of Budapest Airport with new routes.Central and Eastern Europe’s largest cheap flights airline will introduce the new routes following the delivery of a new Airbus A320 aircraft in April 2009.This will be the third of the carrier’s aeroplanes operating out of the airport and will be used to launch new Wizz Air flights to Madrid and Naples.It will also support the expansion on some of the airline’s old routes, including services to Barcelona and Oslo.This will boost capacity on Wizz Air services by 30 percent in total.Wizz Air flights to Madrid will be introduced from April 1st 2009, with four weekly services, while the new Naples services will launch on the same day with two flights per week.Jozsef Varadi, chief executive at the carrier, said: “Wizz Air’s expansion in Budapest provides travellers with more low cost travel options. Given the downturn in world’s economy, this is what people need more than ever.”The airline recently added new routes to Dortmund and London’s Luton Airport from January 15th 2009.
