first_imgIt was a game that had everything at stake including bragging rights as champion netballers in the Central Province. But it was Central who turned up ready to play taking a 12-9 lead from the first quarter and maintaining it to the end.By the third quarter, the traffic was all one way as Central’s two shooters Naolyn Mahuta and Keleni Ipai scored at will.Signs of fatigue were showing in both teams by the fourth quarter but Central continued to pile on the points until the final whistle.Mahuta who plays at goal shooter was the better of the two shooters, scoring 31 goals from 48 attempts. The win was made extra sweet for Central who picked up three individual awards in the U21 division: Ipai won the best shooter, Vele Walo won best defender and Mahutu won the Most Valuable Player award.last_img read more
